December has been a very exciting month we were so blessed by the many different groups that stopped by to be a part of the Bridge Ministry. We know how busy the Christmas season can be, so we thank everyone who took time from their busy schedule to come and help us under the bridge.
The homeless received a very special surprise when Marty Stuart and his wife Connie Smith came by to share a few songs with them.
We want to also mention the ladies group from North Ridge Church in White House, TN. who came by to volunteer under the bridge. They were such a blessing to have. They even brought with them new shoes to bless the homeless with.
On December 23rd we had a Christmas Party for our friends under the bridge. This took a lot of help to pull off. First of all a special Thank you to Tony Gore and the Galloway's for catering the dinner for over 120 of our friends, Christ Worship Center in White House, TN. for opening their beautiful church to us. The Hemphill Brothers Coach and Tim Dillman for letting us use their buses to transport our friends in style from Nashville to White House. We also want to thank Oasis Church in Franklin, TN. who provided a new pair of shoes for everyone who came. The power of the Lord was so strong in this service we had 3 get baptized and over 50 came to the altar to give their lives over to the Lord.
On Christmas night we were so blessed by all the volunteers who came to be with us. Alive in the Spirit Church came all the way from Jamestown, TN and brought over 300 sleeping bags and snack bags to give out for Christmas. We had a candlelight service it was so beautiful to stand there and watch our friends just enjoying the season of our dear saviors birth.
The Bridge Ministry has been so blessed this past year. We can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us in 2008. Please remember us in your prayers.
